A Remarkable Compton oak

Tree Information
Common Name: Compton oak
Scientific name: Quercus comptoniae
Category: Champion (big) tree
Notes: This tree used to be identified as a Darlington Oak, but I hear now that it is some other kind of evergreen oak, but I don't know which. It is well known, because it stands in Market Square in Colonial Williamsburg and has a spread of way over 100 feet, and is frequently climbed by children who are photographed by their parents in the lower branches.
