A Remarkable Japanese maple

Tree Information
Common Name: Japanese maple
Scientific name: Acer palmatum
Category: Champion (big) tree
Notes: It is the largest Japanese Maple I have ever seen. When I looked at the one on your web site, I realized that mine is exceptional. It has bee estimated to be over 100 years old. This picture was taken in the fall. Its leaves are green in the spring and summer. From the tree, you can look across the site of the historic battle of the ironclads.
